Det \u00e4r ett anv\u00e4ndbart och praktiskt verktyg i ett antal situationer d\u00e4r man inte kan n\u00e4rvara f\u00f6r att besluta, godk\u00e4nna eller underteckna dokument vad det g\u00e4ller en m\u00e4ngd olika \u00e4renden; personliga, f\u00f6retags, kommersiella, administrativa, juridiska m.m. D\u00e5 fullmakten \u00e4r en lagligt bemyndigad att utf\u00f6ra handlingar p\u00e5 fullmaktsgivarens v\u00e4gnar s\u00e5 kan denna ha juridiska konsekvenser. I Spanien m\u00e5ste denna typ av juridiska handling godk\u00e4nnas och vidimeras av en notariuspublicus, som p\u00e5 s\u00e5 s\u00e4tt s\u00e4kerhetsst\u00e4ller att fullmaktsgivaren \u00e4r inf\u00f6rst\u00e5dd med inneh\u00e5llet och f\u00f6rst\u00e5r den efterf\u00f6ljande verkan av dokumentet som signeras.<br \/>\nVarje fullmakt skall utformas enligt de krav som den \u00e4r avsedd f\u00f6r och de befogenheter som ges. Den b\u00f6r noggrant t\u00e4nkas igenom och skr\u00e4ddarsys f\u00f6r att m\u00f6ta de personliga behov fullmakten skall t\u00e4cka och i vissa fall bevilja ett st\u00f6rre antal befogenheter, advokaten kan n\u00e4mligen beh\u00f6va samverka med tredje parter och p\u00e5 s\u00e5 s\u00e4tt t\u00e4cker man eventuellt ett bredare spektrum av beh\u00f6righet. Det \u00e4r viktigt att man f\u00f6rst\u00e5r vilka befogenheter man l\u00e4mnar eftersom beslut kommer fattas p\u00e5 ens v\u00e4gnar av en person som man litar p\u00e5.
